Kalpa · Decision memory

Three people ask the same question. Nobody remembers.

When is the launch?
Wasn’t it Sep 30?
Did we move it?

A desktop app that records what your team decides, answers questions about it with sources, and finds every page that is out of date when a decision changes.

Closed beta. Early access to the Kalpa desktop app.
01 · Before the meeting

Walk in prepared.

Your day, loaded
Four meetings, pulled from your calendar.
Clashes caught early
Kalpa flags the overlap before it costs you a meeting.
You join already briefed
What was decided last time, what changed since, and what is relevant.
02 · During the meeting

Every decision, captured.

Kalpa listens
It follows the conversation as it happens.
The decision is lifted out
The exact sentence is pulled from the transcript.
Saved with quote and owner
The decision keeps its quote, links and a commitment.
03 · After the call

Every promise, linked.

Someone makes a promise
Said once in a call, easy to lose.
It is linked to your tools
The Slack thread, the Drive file and the calendar event are attached.
It becomes a tracked commitment
It waits in Jira on the timeline, with an owner and a date.
04 · Until it is done

Followed up until done.

Everything promised, in one list
Owners, dates and the tools they live in.
Closed when the work is done
An approved pull request closes the task. Nobody ticks a box.
Nudged when it slips
The owner gets a reminder in Slack.
05 · Beyond the summary

Notes end at the summary. Kalpa carries on to done.

Same meeting, two outcomes
What happens after the call.
Notes stop at the summary
Summaries pile up and nobody owns the next step.
Kalpa follows through to done
Decision, owner, tracking and follow-up, until it is closed.
06 · Any time

Ask. Get the answer with the source.

Ask in plain words
No folders to search.
Answer in the words that were said
The decision, with the exact quote.
Sources, and what is still open
Where it came from and what is unfinished.

Questions

When does the beta start?

Invitations go out in waves. You will get an email when your spot opens.

Where does Kalpa run?

Kalpa is a desktop app. There is nothing else to buy.

Is my voice used to train models?

No. Transcription runs on your device and your words are not training data.

Can I keep using my current note-taker?

Yes. Kalpa can bring your history along and pick up from the summary onward.

How much will it cost?

There will be a free tier. Paid plans and founding member pricing will be shared before launch.

How does the queue work?

After you join you get a position and a personal link. Each friend who joins through it moves you up.
